September 26, 2016 2nd International Symposium on Continuous Manufacturing of Pharmaceuticals
In 2014, Janet Woodcock, Head of CDER at the FDA, instructed MIT to organize the first International Symposium on Continuous Manufacturing. The goal back then was to align industry leaders to turn continuous pharmaceutical manufacturing into reality.
This year, the 2nd International Symposium on Continuous Manufacturing will focus on case studies of already implemented continuous manufacturing. The agenda thus includes several case studies from leading pharmaceutical companies, including Merck, Bayer, Amgen, and Genzyme Sanofi.
Prof. Massimo Morbidelli of ETH Zurich and ChromaCon will present the latest progress on end-to-end integrated continuous manufacture of monoclonal antibodies. Continuous chromatography plays an important role in fully integrated continuous manufacturing schemes.
The 2nd International Symposium on Continuous Manufacturing is organized by MIT and will be held at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge, MA, on September 26-27 2016. The participation is only possible upon invitation. If you are interested to participate, you can request an invitation.
