Twin Column Process Technologies

There is a great scope for improving the efficiency and sustainability of biotherapeutic manufacturing processes in wide use today, in particular, the purification steps using column chromatography are often very basic with inherent limitations. YMC ChromaCon have developed next generation twin column chromatography processes that enable far higher manufacturing efficiency, with continuous or semi-continuous operation. We offer specialized twin column chromatography systems for both process development and manufacturing, allowing the rapid implementation of our core process technologies at GMP scale:

  • CaptureSMB : Higher resin utilization and productivity, lower buffer consumption. Ideal for capture chromatography steps, where resin costs are very high and manufacturing footprint matters.
  • MCSGP : Higher yield in chromatographic polishing steps, without compromising purity. Ideal for difficult purification tasks where yield matters.
  • N-Rich : A tool for enrichment and isolation of minor compounds from complex mixtures. Ideal for accumulating difficult to isolate compounds in an automated way.
  • Integrated Batch Chromatography : Integrated 2-step purification allowing orthogonal chromatographic steps to be combined on one platform.
